With 19 years of experience behind the chair, Jennifer is the founder of City Hippie Studio and a color specialist known for creating lived-in, grow-out-friendly color and razor cuts that tame even the thickest manes. Her signature approach is low-maintenance with high impact—perfect for anyone who wants effortless style that lasts.
Born and raised in the Garland/Richardson area of DFW, Jennifer began her career with Toni & Guy and Visible Changes, where she built a strong foundation in custom color techniques. Over time, her passion shifted toward building something more personal—creating a space that celebrates self-expression, good vibes, and community.
Now focused on growing City Hippie Studio and mentoring her team, Jennifer brings her expertise and warm energy to every guest and stylist who walks through the door. She’s all about collaboration, authenticity, and making sure you leave the salon feeling like you, just a little more magical.
When she’s not behind the chair, you’ll probably find Jennifer chilling on her couch with her four cats—Nacho, Flower, Lil Doom, and Muffin. Hii!! I’m Jazlyn ;-;, im a silly little stylist at City Hippie Studio! I’m officially over two years behind the chair, however i was a kitchen beautician playing with hair since i was 14. I have absolutely fallen in love with this craft, this industry and it has blessed me in more ways than i could ever begin to explain. i have had the absolute privilege to be trained by and work alongside some of the most beautiful amazing talented artists that share the same passion as i do which is making our clients feel beautiful, heard and like the best version of themselves.

Stylist
Born and raised in Texas, with most of my life spent in the DFW area, I come from a close-knit family. Sunday mornings are reserved for brunch at our favorite restaurant.
While I was initially interested in becoming a third-grade teacher, my passion for hair prevailed. I still did end up teaching, but now I am a cosmetology educator at TINT School of makeup and cosmetology. I've gained most of my expertise in curly hair through my time at Dallas's first curly hair-focused salon. As a stylist I prioritize great service and education, aiming to teach and empower my clients. I am a rather silent stylist, it's not you, it's me. I may be a little shy and awkward at first but don't hesitate to engage in good conversation.
Outside the salon, I enjoy getting coffee with my sisters or finding good restaurants with my boyfriend. I recently picked up a new love for cooking and baking. During the cooler months, you'll find me exploring Arbor Hills Nature Preserve or painting nearby.

Nessa is the stylist you didn’t know you needed but now can’t live without. One moment she’s talking you out of bangs (because she loves you), the next she’s effortlessly creating the softest blonde melt you’ve ever seen. Every appointment is a one-on-one experience, and not in a “forced intimacy” way — more like “you’re about to feel seen, safe, and snatched.”
She specializes in haircuts & blowouts, and giving you the look that actually matches your vibe — not just your Pinterest board. She won’t lie to you (if your ends are fried, she’s cutting them), and she’s 100% not afraid to throw shade at your last box dye attempt. But she’ll do it with love. And probably snacks.
Nessa’s vibe is chill with a side of unfiltered realness. She forgets before photos because she’s too focused on you. And she’s the kind of stylist who won’t just do your hair — she’ll help you rediscover your main character energy.
